  • The New Aeron - Herman Miller Remasters a Masterpiece

Herman Miller has unveiled a new version of its iconic masterpiece, the Aeron Chair. Herman Miller has fine tuned the Aeron to be more responsive to today's work and today's workers, remastering the Aeron — ergonomically, functionally, anthropometrically, and environmentally. Introducing the new Aeron Chair...

In revisiting Aeron, Herman Miller has made every effort  to significantly improve upon the comfort and performance of the original, while also creating a beautiful, harmonious look and feel through updated colors, materials, and finishes.

Designed for a whole new working environment

Guided by the original designers notions of “visual comfort” and their keen eye for aesthetic detail, Aeron was designed to harmonize with the environment in which it was placed. Recognizing that most environments look and feel vastly different today, Aeron’s colors, materials, and finishes have been completely reconsidered to enhance modern environments.

herman-miller-aeron-office-chair-furniture-design_dezeen_2364_col_17 While the updated chair retains the same silhouette, it has been updated with a new suspension system and a revised tilt mechanism that respond better to different body types and activities. By altering the tilt of the frame by 1.8 degrees forward, it better supports the body in the upright position and across a wider range of postures.

    Aeron’s New Features:

    1.  8Z Pellicle for zonal pressure distribution and aeration
    2.  PostureFit SL for adjustable sacral and lumbar support
    3.  Intuitive adjustments for optimal comfort and customization
    4.  Holistic material palettes to enhance modern environments

herman-miller-aeron-4 For the first time, Aeron is offered in three holistically curated material palettes that require no additional specification: Mineral, Carbon, and Graphite.

Works Hard Everywhere, Like You Do

For individuals sitting in Aeron, cross-performance design means the chair fully accommodates the widest possible range of activities and postures people adopt while working—from intense forward-facing focus to relaxed contemplative recline. Cross-performance makes Aeron suitable for a wide array of settings for today’s work—from workpoints to workshops.

Personal fit for everyone, as easy as A,B,C. With chairs, one size does not fit all.

inclusive_masthead.XL Based on an ends-to-the-middle design approach, Aeron comes in three sizes to provide a fit that is inclusive rather than exclusive—and delivers the same comfort to the largest range of body types of any chair. The chart below will help you decide which size is best for you.

    Designed for the environment

With its dematerialized design (that includes 39% recycled content and is up to 91% recyclable), Aeron set a new bar for sustainability when it launched. With today’s update, Herman Miller has taken another step forward by reducing the weight of the chair by 3 pounds, while achieving a Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver status.

herman-miller-aeron-2 Beautiful in all working environments, the new Herman Miller Aeron Chair retains the distinctive silhouette of the original iconic chair, but every component of the design has been updated to raise the bar for performance seating.

With the introduction of the new Aeron, Herman Miller reinforces the company’s worldwide leadership in workplace innovation and high performance seating. The new Aeron chair is suitable for both commercial and residential users.
