Herman Miller Launches Mirra 2

This week Herman Miller launched Mirra 2 - a new and improved take on the original Mirra Chair designed in 2004. Studio 7.5, the design studio responsible for Mirra 2, describe the revolutionary design process as "taking something that is good and making it better." Mirra 2 is leaner, lighter and even more responsive than its predecessor.
So what exactly is different?
1. It moves with you - Mirra 2's flexible and responsive design moves with your body and mirrors your motions in and around your office. These motions include working at your desk, turning and reaching to the file cabinet, and turning fully around to gossip with your colleague. For all the movements throughout your workday, Mirra 2 has your back.

2. It's a hybrid - Mirra 2 teams up it's classic polymer vein back shell with a fabric layer for a "hybrid structure" that supports you on 2 levels.

3. It breathes - Mirra 2's new seat design promotes even more airflow than before and this means a happier and healthier sitting experience along with ventilated back back support.

4. It doesn't judge - No matter your size or stature, Mirra 2 works for you in a smooth and harmonic way thanks to a reinvented tilt and spring design.

5. It's lean - Offering an even slimmer design than the original Mirra, Mirra 2 is beautiful and airy to look at and barely inhabits a profile. It's also made with less materials - it's 10 pounds lighter! This reduces its carbon footprint by approximately 25%, making Mirra 2 even more friendly and responsible to the earth.

6. It's a rainbow of finishes - Mirra 2 offers more colour choices (8 in total) and base finishes including an executive aluminum base, propelling this office chair to the corner window office.

"We're not making furniture, but equipment. So it's a piece of equipment that people, like sports equipment, feel confident to use." - Claudio Plikat, Designer, Studio 7.5.
