Finn Juhl
Finn Juhl was an architect and interior and industrial designer most known for his furniture design. He stood out at the forefront of Danish design in the 1940s because he designed furniture with the human body in mind. Finn Juhl’s famous designs include the Pelican Chair, the Poet Sofa, the Chieftain Chair, and the Butterfly table. He is also credited for introducing Danish Design to North America.
In 2001, Ivan Hansen and Hans Henrik Sørensen were trusted with all the exclusive rights to manufacture and relaunch Finn Juhl’s sculptural and iconic furniture by Finn Juhl’s widow Hanne Wilhelm Hansen. Today, the extraordinary collection of chairs, tables, desks, sofas, dining, office, and living room furniture is still created organically, meticulously, and with strict attention to what Finn Juhl would have done. His unique perspective, finesse, and style live on in more than 50 classic masterpieces.
