Champagne Glasses, Coolers and Bar Tools

Choose the glass for the evening. A flute keeps the bubbles longest, a coupe looks the part, and a tumbler such as Ultima Thule makes champagne feel less formal.

Champagne flutes and glasses

Alfredo Häberli designed Iittala Essence in 2001. Tapio Wirkkala's Ultima Thule pattern took shape in production, as the hot glass burned the surface of the wooden moulds, and it recalls melting ice in Lapland. Iittala added the sparkling wine glass in 2015, the centenary of Wirkkala's birth. At Alessi, Naoto Fukasawa drew the Eugenia flute and Jasper Morrison the Glass Family goblet. Rosenthal's TAC 02 flute comes in two shapes.

Coolers and ice buckets

Stelton's AJ champagne cooler marks 50 years of Arne Jacobsen's Cylinda-Line and follows the AJ wine cooler from his 1969 bar set. Ettore Sottsass designed Alessi's 5051 ice bucket and 5052 wine cooler in 1979. Jasper Morrison's Bolly, Naoto Fukasawa's Eugenia and Giulio Iacchetti's Noe ice tub are the newer Alessi coolers.

Cocktail shakers and bar tools

The Alessi 870 shaker was the first project by Carlo Mazzeri and Luigi Massoni, one of the first Alessi pieces by outside designers, and it's still on bar counters around the world. Arne Jacobsen's AJ cocktail shaker and martini mixer come from Stelton. Giulio Iacchetti's Tending Box gathers a mixing glass, a shaker and the tools for a home bar.
