Alessi Nativity Sets and Christmas Figurines

Alessi's nativity figures are small characters in hand-decorated porcelain, with round bodies and wide smiles. They are a long way from the solemn plaster crib many of us grew up with. Children want to hold them, and adults tend to come back for one more figure.

Presepe by Massimo Giacon

Massimo Giacon began the Presepe in 2007 with LPWK, the Laura Polinoro Workshop. Alessi calls it a hodge-podge of characters from many places, and the family has grown over the years with new colours and faces. The Group Crib shelters the Holy Family, the three kings come as a set, and Amir leads his camel behind them. Stella Stellina, the Angels Band and the Tiny Little Sheep fill in the scene.

Happy Eternity Baby by Marcello Jori and Massimo Giacon

The Happy Eternity Baby crib sets the Holy Family, the ox and the donkey in a grotto under a starry sky. The set adds Angelo Miracolo, the Stella Cometa and Trino, a camel with three humps, one for each of the Magi. Single figures bring a bagpiper, a shepherd boy, an accordion player, a lake and a bridge, so the scene can spread along a whole shelf.
