Roros Tweed
Røros Tweed has been producing high-quality wool products in Norway since 1940, drawing on centuries-old local craft traditions. The wool comes from Norwegian sheep that graze freely along coastlines, hillsides, and mountains, benefiting from a unique climate and rich pastures that result in one of the world’s most animal-friendly textile fibers.
The wool meets Cradle to Cradle standards, reflecting strong commitments to animal welfare, low energy consumption, and minimal chemical use. In 2015, Norilia became the first wool producer awarded the official Nordic Swan Ecolabel. Its wool washing process recycles 96% of the water used, significantly reducing environmental impact.
