The Beetle Chair’s durable outer shell is a continuous, curved form, reminiscent of the strong and graceful contours of the insect that inspired it. Despite its robustness, it is designed to gently flex, providing comfort even after prolonged sitting, making it ideal for dining and meetings. Black, beige and alabaster white shells are available with matching legs. Or you can combine the black legs with eight harmoniously-colored shell options.
Simplicity of shape makes the Beetle ideal for variation and customization. It can be fully upholstered, with a vast array of fabrics to choose from. It is also possible to upholster just the seat, or the front, revealing the subtly-textured matte plastic shell at the back. GamFratesi
GamFratesi's design takes its creative drive from a fusion of tradition and renewal and in an experimental approach to their chosen materials and techniques. With their dual traditional background, Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi draw on the classic Danish furniture and craft tradition as well as the classic Italian intellectual and conceptual approach. Understanding a tradition and addressing it actively in the workshop makes it possible to expand on it. From this cross-cultural substrate they create furniture that respectfully reflects tradition while also featuring unique embedded stories, symbols and associations, often expressed in a minimalist idiom. GamFratesi aim to create furniture that illustrates the process and the techniques that created it, and which reflect a persistent exploration of the diverse border zone between harmony and disharmony.
Gamfratesi studio was founded in 2006 by Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi. The studio is based in Copenhagen.
GUBI is a Danish international design house focused on sparking emotion and sharing stories. Founded in 1967, GUBI designs, develops, and markets its furniture, lighting, and interior objects. Taking inspiration from the past while committed to the present, GUBI’s originals and collaborations are sculptural, eclectic, and functional.

This item qualifies for free door-to-door delivery within Canada, with a few exceptions:
- Orders $180 or less are charged a $35 small order fee at checkout.

- Small items will be delivered by FedEx or other courier service in your area.
- Large items will be delivered by freight service. This is standard curbside delivery; meaning the driver will not haul up an incline or up stairs, and it will be your responsibility to bring the item inside, complete any assembly, and remove packaging debris.
