Gabriel Ross Holiday Staff Picks: 2
Here's the second round of holiday staff picks from the design savvy gang here at Gabriel Ross...
Trish, our resident Interior Designer, recommends Flos' limited edition LED Orange Kelvin Table Lamp:
Limited Edition Orange Kelvin Table Lamp by Antonio Citterio & Toan Nguyen for Flos
"The Flos Limited Edition Orange Kelvin LED table light was designed by Antonio Citterio and Toan Nguyen in 2011 for Flos’ 50th Anniversary. Only 200 were produced. The Kelvin light has an orange finish and, like the original versions, is thoughtfully engineered and energy efficient. It has a double pantograph arm, a swiveling head and a cast aluminum body with steel compensation springs. It is available in very limited quantities but GR Shop has stock for the holidays." - Trish
The Breville Smart Grinder is the top choice from the newest member of our showroom team, Vanessa:
Breville Smart Grinder
"Any coffee enthusiast realizes that it is not just the beans that make a great cup of coffee it’s also the process. I use the Smart Grinder every single day (sometimes even twice a day) and I'm never disappointed. The 25 grind settings adjust the fineness for precise grinding for any filter basket, portafilter or airtight container. And the airtight bean hopper can fit 1lb of beans, which means I'm not making a mess every time I make a coffee. I have been looking at every Burr Grinder on the market and the Breville Smart Grinder is the best for your dollar." - Vanessa
If tea is more your thing, you might agree with Nate from our web team that the Michael Graves Bird Kettle is a holiday season must-have:
Bird Kettle by Michael Graves for Alessi
"The most popular design feature of a stovetop kettle is the whistling function that alerts you when the water has reached the boiling point. Let me introduce to you a postmodern Alessi teakettle designed by architect Michael Graves. It also features a separate whistling bird at the tip of the spout that actually sings when the water boils. It's a stunning sculpture for your stovetop - one you'll use every day and value for years to come." - Nate
