Herman Miller presents Bolster and Bevel!
Architect/designer Craig Bassam and brand strategist/creative director Scott Fellows joined forces in 2003 to form BassamFellows. They began drafting their vision for a new kind of American luxury company. A fully integrated lifestyle brand stemming from their shared aesthetic sensibilities, it would encompass architectural projects and interiors as well as impeccably crafted furniture, lifestyle objects and personal accessories.
As Bassam explains, "We wanted to mix the timelessness and attention to detail of the modern classics with contemporary design and blend it with honest materials, solid construction, beauty, and utility." Fellows adds, "It’s all about merging the rationality and clarity of modernism with the warmth and texture of nature." And so, Bolster and Bevel were born!
Bolster: The Bolster Sofa Group marries plush comfort for lounging with ample support for sitting in a form quiet enough for traditional surroundings and essential enough for the most minimal, contemporary interiors. Long, slim seat cushions set atop minimal steel legs give Bolster strong horizontal lines. These lines are made more prominent by Bolster’s plush back pillows, constructed of foam and fiber for supportive comfort.
