Herman Miller Takes Mid-Century Modern Classics Outdoors

The sun is shining, weather is warmer, sandals are making their way out of the closets, and your mid-century favourites are appearing on the sundeck. No, not just for an hour or two of sunbathing and then back inside to its' usual living room corner. These MCM Classics by Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson are now available from Herman Miller in finishings designed to withstand the elements.

Re-introduced as outdoor furniture last year, Herman Miller's Aluminum Group was well received by mid-century modern enthusiasts and received a 2011 ICFF Editor's Award in the Outdoor Furniture category. Available in either graphite or white frames, the new outdoor weave fabric was designed to feel good on bare summer skin and is available in four colours/tones.

The ever popular Wire Based Low Table by Charles and Ray Eames also made the outdoor makeover - available in several natural stone tops and powder coated bases.

Also donning natural stone top finishes, George Nelson's Pedestal Tables are another addition the outdoor line up. Similar to the indoor version, this table is designed to suit any outdoor arrangement, offering 2 height and 2 diameter size options.
