New - Plumen - Creators of beautiful low energy light bulbs.

Plumen has taken a familiar, existing design and transformed it into a desirable object to show off and enjoy. This British company was launched in 2010 and has expanded to include two designs of energy efficient light bulbs, five colours of Drop Cap Pendant Sets and two lampshade styles.

Plumen 001 - The Plumen 001 bulb was awarded the Brit Insurance Design of the Year by the Design Museum in London and the prestigious Black Pencil at the D&AD awards in 2011. It is included in the permanent collections of MoMA, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt Collection, The Art Institute of Chicago and the Design Museum in Helsinki.

With the 001 Bulb Plumen created a visually striking bulb that saves up to 80% on energy bills and lasts 8 times longer than a standard incandescent bulb.

Plumen 002- For the design of their second bulb, the 002, Plumen was looking to produce something very different to the original 001 and Barbara Hepworth’s artwork, Spring (1966) was undeniably the inspiration for the direction they wanted to go in.

The Plumen 002 Bulb is a 6 watt LED, 250 Lumen, very warm white light, with 8,000 hours life expectancy.
