Seating

Knoll seating spans lounge chairs, dining chairs, barstools, task chairs, and side chairs, covering mid-century KnollStudio Classics alongside current office and residential designs. The range runs from the Barcelona Chair, originally designed for a royal pavilion in 1929, to the Generation Chair, a task chair developed with Formway Design released in 2009.

The Bertoia Diamond and Side Chair use welded steel wire frames with separate seat pads that leave the wire structure visible from all angles. The Saarinen Womb Chair uses a wide fibreglass shell designed to be sat in sideways or with legs curled up, available in three sizes with a matching footstool. The Mies van der Rohe Barcelona Chair and MR Chair use hand-welded stainless steel with leather upholstery. The Platner lounge and arm chairs use nickel-plated bundled steel rod frames with upholstered seats and backs.

The Generation Chair accommodates a range of seated postures with a back and seat that flex independently, without requiring manual reconfiguration between positions. The Ollo Task Chair, designed by Glen Oliver Loew, uses a mesh back with a floating lumbar panel. The ReGeneration uses a woven back that adapts to posture without manual settings.
