Alessi AD01 Antechinus Cheese Knife
Anita Dineen has designed the cheese knife Antechinus. Its lines recall both the stylised forms of a slice of cheese and those of a little mouse intent on enjoying his favourite food. The curve creates a sensuous grip, giving the knife a balanced and aesthetically pleasing aspect. Antechinus can stand on its blade and doesn't need any support: the fact that both sides of the blade are sharpened, also make it suitable for use as a cheese cutter for mature cheeses. Antechinus is a little mouse native to Australia.

Valerio Sommella
Valerio Sommella, born in 1980 and graduated cum laude from the Politecnico of Milan in 2004, began his design career working with Stefano Giovannoni. In 2007 he moved to Amsterdam where he joined Marcel Wanders’ team. Since 2009, when he settled down in Milan and opened his design studio, he designs products in different fields, from furniture to consumer electronic goods and lighting both for Italian and international clients. He alternates this activity teaching at some Italian universities and design schools.
Alessi is known for producing many of the most iconic home accessories and homeware in the world. Founded in 1921, each product elevates the expression and function of household items, from tableware and flatware, kitchen and bathroom accessories to tea kettles and coffee makers, and more.
In collaboration with internationally recognized designers such as Michael Graves, Philippe Starck, and Richard Sapper, Alessi embodies Alberto Alessi’s vision that "A true design work must move people, convey emotions, bring back memories, surprise, and go against common thinking."
This item qualifies for free door-to-door delivery within Canada, with a few exceptions:
- Orders $180 or less are charged a $35 small order fee at checkout.
- Additional charges apply for Remote Delivery Areas including the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and other remote locations outside of major city centres.
- Small items will be delivered by FedEx or other courier service in your area.
- Large items will be delivered by freight service. This is standard curbside delivery; meaning the driver will not haul up an incline or up stairs, and it will be your responsibility to bring the item inside, complete any assembly, and remove packaging debris.
