Miriam Mirri
Italian designer, she was born in Bologna. She lives and works in Milan where since 2010 her office is based. She studied design and communication at the Università del Progetto. She collaborated with several design companies; she worked with Stefano Giovannoni until 1999. In 2000 she began her freelance designer activity; she designed houseware, pets accessories, day and night objects, watches, complements and furniture collaborating among others with Alessi. She took part in national and international exhibitions. She has held design-workshop at the Università del Progetto and at the Domus Academy in Milan and presented her works at some design master course.

Stefano Giovannoni
Italy, 1954
Stefano Giovannoni was born in born in La Spezia, Italy and studied architecture at Florence University until 1978. He is an industrial designer, interior decorator, and architect. In the 1980s Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini founded the King-Kong studio. They collaborated on the extremely successful Girotondo line of products for Alessi, which includes numerous household appliances and utilitarian objects made of metal and plastic and featuring the distinctive cutout stick-man pictogram.
In the 1990s Stefano Giovannoni created numerous original designs and such Alessi classics as the Fruit Mama Fruit Holder and the Lilliput Salt and Peppershakers.
In 1995 Stefano Giovannoni designed the Mary Biscuit, a cookie jar of garishly colored plastic with an outsize cookie on the lid. This creation was followed up in 1998 by the Ship Shape Butter Dish, and in 2000, by the Cico Egg Cup. In 2003 Stefano Giovannoni designed the Mami line of cookware, tableware, and kitchen cutlery. Giovannoni also works for many other firms, including Magis, Flos, Fiat, and Seiko.

Alessi is known for producing many of the most iconic home accessories and homeware in the world. Founded in 1921, each product elevates the expression and function of household items, from tableware and flatware, kitchen and bathroom accessories to tea kettles and coffee makers, and more.
In collaboration with internationally recognized designers such as Michael Graves, Philippe Starck, and Richard Sapper, Alessi embodies Alberto Alessi’s vision that "A true design work must move people, convey emotions, bring back memories, surprise, and go against common thinking."
