Anglepoise brings the much loved 90 Mini Mini design to life, once again, with the introduction of three new vibrant and nostalgic colorways; inspired by the original, larger model's first release - and ode to color - in 1973. Bold avocado green, turquoise blue, and sunburnt orange - just as fun together as they are distinctive on their own.
These bright versions in Avocado Green, Sunburnt Orange and Turquoise Blue have been treated a little differently to reflect our heritage and pull three colors straight from a product range we did in the 1970’s. Whilst bringing the treatment bang up to date.

George Carwardine (1887-1947)
George Carwardine was a car designer and, at the time he invented the Anglepoise lamp, a freelance design consultant specializing in vehicle suspension systems. While developing new concepts for vehicle suspensions, he created a mechanism which he recognized had applications in other fields. He particularly saw its benefits for a task lamp. Despite many claims to the contrary, his concept had nothing whatsoever to do with mimicking the actions of the human arm. The joints and spring tension allow the lamp to be moved into a wide range of positions which it will maintain without being clamped.
Anglepoise created the kinetic desk lamp. A British automotive engineer invented the spring mechanism and noticed its potential for elevating the desk lamp. Over the years, Anglepoise has modernized and expanded the line to include desk, table, floor, wall, ceiling, and oversized lamps that all feature the quintessential balanced arm mechanism.
As an icon, the original Anglepoise is found in design museums and exhibitions, and is a sought-after British design piece. Anglepoise creates on its own or in collaboration, but their approach to simplicity, form, function, and light remains true.
This item qualifies for free door-to-door delivery within Canada, with a few exceptions:
- Orders $180 or less are charged a $35 small order fee at checkout.
