Since the 1990s, with the Metamorfosi project, Artemide has been working with coloured light, then with the colour temperatures of white, studying their significant psychological and physiological impact. The present evolution provides a broader range of colours that can become more and more vivid. We can reproduce all the colours in the visible spectrum and allow man to perceive all the wavelengths generated by natural sun light for optimal vision. Wavelengths can be selected and electronics ensures accurate and punctual management, as well as great freedom and flexibility to interact in real time. With such an advanced interaction mode, everyone is free to change his or her scenarios actively and consciously, in the pursuit of personal well-being.

Born in Italy, Carlotta de Bevilacqua graduated in 1983 with an architecture degree from the Politecnico in Milan. As a designer she developed important research on lighting, developing innovative concepts and products for Artemide. Until 2004 Carlotta de Bevilacqua was Chief Executive Officer for the Brand Strategy & Development organization within the Artemide Group, with responsibilities in the areas of marketing, communication, and long-term vision.
Carlotta de Bevilacqua’s work ranges from architecture to interior and product design. Her clients include Artemide and Danese.
Founded in Milan by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza in the 1960s, Artemide is a worldwide leader in lighting design, committed to technological innovation, research, and human interaction.
