Sometimes it is not about starting from scratch, but rather revisiting past designs and making them better. The New Standard is simplicity at its best with a twist. Now new and improved. Wide arms and inviting loose cushions all come together with tuned proportions and show stopping legs.

- Sturdy kiln-dried American hardwood frame, doweled and corner blocked for added strength
- Sinuous steel springs provide durable support beneath cushions
- High resiliency foam cushions with feather down wrap provide a mix of firm support and comfort, and with use will take on a more casual appearance. To promote even wear over time, we recommend fluffing and flipping cushions frequently after use
- Black powder-coated steel legs
- Granite Leather / Toffee Leather: A full grain natural aniline leather made from the highest quality hides; expertly tanned and milled to create a soft buttery hand and luxurious finish that will patina over time; Granite is a rich charcoal color. Color variation is a signature to the authenticity of natural leather

Blu Dot was founded in 1997 by designers John Christakos, Maurice Blanks, and Charlie Lazor. These two architects and one sculptor reunited after college, bonded by their mutual passion for creating beautiful modern lighting, interior and exterior furniture, storage, and accessories that are affordable and built to last. The business supports their “design habit” and desire to maintain control of the entire process, from product development to customer experience, in an attitude-free environment.
Everything BluDot makes and sells is designed in their Minneapolis studio. The goal has always been total collaboration, from design to materials, machines, packaging, and assembly. Their process includes seeking out and solving simple design problems. From there, a design brief is compiled to review the idea with the entire team so everyone is on board.

- Additional charges apply for Remote Delivery Areas including the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and other remote locations outside of major city centres.
- Small items will be delivered by FedEx or other courier service in your area.
- Large items will be delivered by freight service. This is standard curbside delivery; meaning the driver will not haul up an incline or up stairs, and it will be your responsibility to bring the item inside, complete any assembly, and remove packaging debris.
