Lapalma Arco S211 Chair
Greatest comfort, versatility and sober elegance characterize ARCO, the new product launched by lapalma at Salone del Mobile 2016. Signed by Francesco Rota, the art director of the brand, ARCO is an eclectic chair with a main feature: an elegant backrest of curved wood goes around the seat until it almost disappears inside that, creating a refined aesthetical continuum. ARCO is as comfortable and embracing as a small armchair: it welcomes your back providing not only lumbar support but also good side support, thanks to the uniform curving of wood. The comfortable solid wood seat is proposed in a version essentially focused on matter or in an even more comfortable upholstered version, to be covered in leather and eco leather, or in one of the many fabrics in the collection. The padded seat is designed with a very large shape and a certain internal thickness, in order to ensure maximum comfort despite of the slim and streamlined shaping. The backrest, with its characteristic arched shape, is iconic. Rigorous and eclectic in the bleached oak or natural ash versions, and with a contemporary flavor in its white lacquered or black open pore variants, it may even be slightly padded, giving the chair a more accentuated comfort. Available with different bases, Arco satisfies every need, bringing in a home or in an office, in elegant contract spaces, bars or restaurants the balanced and comfortable essentiality of lapalma.
