Description
The fixture emits a primarily downward illumination. The perforated pattern on the shade provides a soft illumination around the fixture. Meanwhile, the perforation helps lighten up the surface of the shade in a decorative way, when it is turned on, thereby maintaining the contour of the fixture, whether it is on or off. The light source is surrounded by an opal diffuser, which ensures that the fixture is 100% glare-free. And finally, the shape of the diffuser allows a beautiful view into the fixture.

Louise Campbell
Denmark, 1970
Louise Campbell was born in Copenhagen in 1970. Being the daughter of a Danish father and an English mother, she grew up and was educated in both countries. After graduating from the London College of Furniture in 1992, she returned to Denmark and continued her studies in Industrial Design at Denmark’s Design School, graduating from here in 1995. She set up her own studio in 1996, from where she has worked independently since.
Louise Campbell's work is playful and experimental, and is reputed for gently twisting not only everyday objects and situations, but also materials and manufacturing processes in new directions. The client list is long and varied, including companies such as Louis Poulsen, Zanotta, HAY, Royal Copenhagen, Holmegaard, Stelton, Muuto, Georg Jensen, Baccarat, The Danish Ministry of Culture and IMM Cologne, where Louise was guest of Honour in January 2014 and thereby the designer behind the annual ideal house, Das Haus.
Brand
Louis Poulsen: PH 5, Artichoke, Panthella, AJ and the Science of Glare-Free Light
Louis Poulsen has produced functional lighting in Denmark since 1874. The company's design direction was set in 1924 by Poul Henningsen, whose PH system was built on one principle: the light source must never be directly visible. Every shade and reflector in the PH family exists to eliminate glare while delivering even, comfortable light. The collection extends to Arne Jacobsen's AJ series (1957), Verner Panton's Panthella (1971), and Oki Sato's NJP task lamps (2015).
GRShop is an authorized Louis Poulsen retailer in Canada, with delivery across the country and select pieces available at our Victoria showroom.
